Pre Build Sega Game Gear - Cream

This is a completely refurbished original Sega Game Gear. It has been completely re capped with RetroSix ceramic caps, and tested for functionality. I have replaced the screen with the latest RetroSix Clean Screen v4.0 screen that has all the latest technology. The v4.0 screen was only released in late January 2026. The Game Gear does take AA batteries, but with the new screen, it is expected to have a play time for about 15 hours before you need new batteries. The shell has also been replaced with a Cream shell by RetroSix, with multi color buttons, and a grey tempered glass screen cover. The speaker is also replaced with a new RetroSix speaker. This is a blast from the 1990's with upgraded technology, so you can enjoy your childhood again.

The latest Clean Screen v4.0 from Retro Six, is a fully future proof piece of technology. With a USB-C plug that I have placed in the back of the Game Gear, that is pictured above, you are able to make adjustments through the Retro Six website free interface. You can also upgrade the firmware when updates come out. I have also unlocked all available features for this screen with the Ultra package upgrade ($20 cost). This is truly the latest and definitely blows out of the water any past versions. The picture is crisp, and HD, with no clipping, and unlimited scaling. Future options will include an HDMI output, so you can plug your Game Gear directly into your TV and play on the large screen. Something you just can not get with any other screens. Retro Six is truly the leading edge of Game Gear tech, with everything made, and built in-house. Nothing is used off the shelf, or just a rebranded copy. Nothing compares....

Be aware of other cheaper versions of refurbished Game Gears on eBay. They say retro six ceramic recaps, but then put cheap Chinese AliExpress screens in them. These screens fail easily, and consume lots of power. Stay with a good quality brand, like RetroSix. This Game Gear is 100% Retro Six parts. This is expected to last you years to come.
